Yuhang district in Hangzhou started to employ professional managers for rural villages in 2019 to develop its rural economy. These managers are also called "CEO of villages."
To date, seven village CEOs have stepped into office and have worked to bring prosperity to villages.
Liu Song is one of them. Under his management, Yong'an village's revenue last year reached more than 16 million yuan ($2.51 million) and is expected to hit over 22 million yuan this year.
